Updated on: 24 July, 2015 Name: FOO, Pionie Kim Ling About Me Pionie enjoys helping students of different backgrounds to master English language and communication skills. At HKUST, she has been heavily involved in the major curriculum and some previous outreach projects, teaching mainly students from freshmen to postgraduates of different schools, and also in-service English teachers, MBA students in the Mainland, and secretaries in the commercial field. She is in charge of a wide range of English short courses as part of the extra-curricular language curriculum at HKUST. She monitors the development of related course materials, supervises course evaluation, and recruits teachers and students. With keen interest in web design, she works closely with the IT Team to develop the iLANG website to promote language learning in an informal context. Before joining HKUST, she chaired the Academic Committee, headed the English panel, and taught English in a local secondary school. Qualifications: 1990 - 92 M.Ed.
