MISSION: To promote and advance cutting-edge translational research, basic science and education in
all aspects of reproductive immunology.
The ASRI 2014 meeting will bring together the world’s best scientists and clinicians in reproductive

The Dr. John Gusdon Memorial New Investigator Awards will be presented to 3 new
investigators with trainee status (graduate student, postdoctoral scientist, or resident) who has
made a significant contribution by presenting an outstanding research paper (basic science or
clinical research) during the annual meeting. This award is given annual in memory of Dr. John
Gusdon, a founding member of ASRI, and an advocate of student participation in ASRI meetings.

Travel grants: Several travel grants $500-1000 each are available for top selected abstracts
submitted by trainee. Letter of support from the mentor will be required.
Submission Format:

Abstracts must be limited to max 500 words

Basic Science and Clinical Research abstracts must be organized into the following sections:

FUN COMPETITION:

The senior investigators of the top two labs represented by most registered students or lab
members will qualify for an ocean front Suite for the same price of $175/night (regular price
exceeds $600/night).
Awards:
The following ASRI and ESRI/Elsevier Awards will be presented at the Gala Celebration on
Wednesday evening:
The AJRI Award will be presented to a senior investigator who has made outstanding clinical or basic
research contributions in the area of reproductive immunology.
The J. Christian Herr Award will be presented to a member of the ASRI in the first
10-15 years beyond accepting a faculty position, who has made outstanding achievements in basic or
applied research in reproductive immunology, particularly involved in technology transfer. This award
was established by a past president of ASRI to acknowledge the dedication of his father to invention,
innovation and entrepreneurship.
