looking for our best examples of PRIDE this month! Show your school spirit, take PRIDE in your work and in
everything you do. Students, staff, and family members, if you have great stories to share about PRIDE e-mail
them to Ms. Iveland at ivelands@centinela.k12.ca.us so we can highlight them during announcements, in the bulletin,
or maybe even on LTV!

Please remember to update your phone number and address in the Data Processing Office in order to ensure delivery of school
messages and mail!
If you were absent when student planners were distributed please pick one up from Ms. Iveland, Mr. Holmes, or Mr. Romero in
A-106. If you lose your planner and need to buy a new one, they can be purchased in the Student Store for $5. All students
must fill out the “Hall Pass” section of their planners before leaving class.
Senior portraits are being taken at LifeTouch Studios, 20406 Earl Street, Torrance. All seniors should have received
information packets in the mail with scheduled appointment times. If you did not receive your packet in the mail please
call LifeTouch Studios at (310) 542-5500.
Students, the World Languages Department would like to invite you to enter your short story or poem in our first annual
Hispanic Heritage Month Poetry contest. Please submit your short story (less than 1,000 words) or poem (350 word maximum)
via email to any of the world languages teachers. Label your poem with your name and contact information. Please use the
subject line: Concurso de Poesia La Herencia Hispana. Submissions may be in English or Spanish and are due by 12:00 pm on
October 11th in order to be considered for the prizes. Prizes include a tablet and gift cards to local area retailers.

• Please do NOT send students to see their counselors; only students who have been summoned by a counselor will be allowed into
the counseling office.
• Absolutely NO passes are allowed during the first 15 minutes or the last 15 minutes of period. Exceptions are for ill students or
students reporting to the attendance office.

All Olympian graduates will be eligible to attend a four-year college or university. Our students will leave Leuzinger High School with the knowledge, skills,
and experiences necessary to be successful in any postsecondary education environment. They will have a strong sense of what occupation they would like to
pursue as a career, and will have received guidance as to which post-secondary institutions, training programs, or industries will best fit their personal goals.
