Warehouse apprentice

The Appointment
Colwick Ltd was created in December 2014 with the aim of providing a service to commercial producers of waste and
scrap appliances, particularly bar and restaurant equipment, retail display coolers, fridges and freezers and other
commercial cooling appliances. This is a growing company who are soon to be expanding into new premises. For

An ideal role for someone looking to work within a busy warehouse. You will be part of a small, friendly team and be
trained to operate a forklift truck as well as other equipment.
Colwick are keen to appoint awarehouse apprentice who will be part of a team of 3. Your duties will be wide ranging
and include general warehouse duties and basic inspection of product such as fridge’s and coolers.willbe required to
be physically fit due to the nature of the work. You will be supported to undertake warehousing apprenticeship
which will be delivered on in the workplace.
The company are based on Colwick Industrial estate and there is a bus stop around a 5 minute walk from the
company’s premises.
The Post
Main duties and responsibilities








Picking stock from the warehouse for dispatch
Loading & unloading vans and delivery vehicles.
Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
Some general administration and basic inspection/ maintenance duties
Regular stock checks
Preparing documents, including Delivery notes and invoices
Supporting colleagues with a variety of tasks
Building up a working knowledge of Colwick ltd services and markets

Wages
From the 1st October 2014, the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices aged 16-18, and those aged over
19 who are in the first year of their Apprenticeship, is set at £2.73 per hour. The NMW applies to time working and
time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by the age categories above will be
entitled to the NMW appropriate to their age
