Overall, it appears that Colwick Arts Centre has become much greener, with the
construct of new outdoor facilities as well as buildings.
A first noticeable is the redevelopment of the wasteland into an outdoor exhibition and
performance area. A stage has been built nearby and this area has been surrounded by
lots of trees. An interesting striking is the building used to be the concert hall and
cinema has been replaced by a central exhibition area. The last few years have seen the
construction of the concert hall and the cinema in the north east where there were two
galleries. In fact, a meeting room and a snack bar in the west has been replace by two
mini meeting rooms and the big gallery. The toilet has been removed into the other side
where in the south of the concert hall. A final interesting development is the erecting of
a drama studio between the meeting room and the cinema.
