The content remains the same, but the delivery methods include a higher standard of rigor based on more individualized and experiential instruction. 3 lecture units 1 lab unit. Applicability to CSU Transfer, UC Transfer, CSU GE Area B1, B3 and IGETC Area 5, and WVC GE Area B are requested. Recommended preparation is also removed as this is an introductory course. Units were changed to 2 units lecture and 1 unit lab. Changes were also made to methods of instruction, out of class assignments, student prep and evaluation, and textbooks. Applicability to WVC GE Area C is requested. Update the History degree to reflect current course offerings. HIST 17A and 17B were requested to be on the agenda for 4.16.12. New Program Proposals Proposal Time 4:00-4:05 Proposer Chris Dyer Program Math AA-T (review again) The Associate in Arts in Mathematics for Transfer is designed to provide lower division education to students planning to transfer to a CSU with a similar major in Mathematics in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree. The intent of the degree is to assist students in seamless transfer to a CSU in compliance with SB 1440 legislation. The required courses have been identified by the mathematics department as matching the ‘core” courses set by the “c-id” project in the Transfer Model Curriculum for mathematics. The goal of the degree is to provide students with the opportunity to explore some of the deepest questions and puzzles that have ever been encountered and equips the student with a universal language used to study quantities and relationships in all fields. The intent of the degree is to assist students in seamless transfer to a CSU in compliance with SB 1440 legislation. The required courses have been identified by the Business Department as matching the “core” courses set by the “c-id” project in the Transfer Model Curriculum for Business Administration. The goal of the degree is to provide students with the opportunity to develop a foundation in business and economic theories, apply accounting principles, and gain quantitative skills appropriate for business.
