Informational fundamentals of life: genomes and languages - satellite of quantitative
linguistic conference QUALICO 2014

We welcome you to give a talk the symposium on the subject of your choice (see the scope
below).
Both - genetic and human scripts are informational structures created by and serving the
needs of living beings. Hence, questions like how have they emerged, and how have they
evolved and what is their structure – are biological questions in both domains. Answers
should not turn out to be identical for humanities and biology but certainly they are of
similar nature. How far the similarity goes?
We, thus, are heading to the forum for interdisciplinary discussions on the following topics:
Origin of language and origin of sequences
Morphology of human and genetic scripts
Linguistic tools in sequence research
Repetitive nature of early sequences and genome evolution
Repetitiveness in human speech and scripts
Repeats in modern genomes
Evolution of human language - from gestures and calls to scripts
From hieroglyphs to alphabets – irreversible trend?
Rudiments of language in animals
Evolution of speech apparatus
Philosophical aspects of communication
Is it all digital?
