Welcome to ISB+! Activities start next week, September 15-19, except for a few tennis activities scheduled for after the fall break. First hour activities (15:36-16:45): ECC students are escorted from the ECC to the lunchroom by ECC staff. ES students go from their classroom to the ES lunchroom at bus line time. ISB+ instructors will meet their group in the ES lunchroom, take attendance and escort the group to the place of the activity. Second hour activities (16:45-17:45) Tuesday martial arts for grades 4-6 in the ICC and certain tennis activities for grades 5-6 in the tennis bubble meet at the activity. ES students registered for these activities must be registered for supervision or another activity first hour. Place of the activity: ECC for Tuesday DRM, Tuesday ECC German and Thursday K-2 multisports (ECC basement and ES playground). ES for Wednesday Math Team, Thursday chess, Mother Tongue Languages (Monday Swedish, Tuesday Italian, Wednesday Norwegian and Thursday ES German) and Monday-Thursday Supervision. Wednesday Scouts meet in the ES lunchroom. ICC* for art, baton twirling, CHINESE as a foreign language, cooking (Creative & Fun with Food), drama (ECC & ES), French Club, Hip Hop, martial arts (Taekwondo & Tang Soo DO focus), science, sewing and Zumba. Other venues: Climbing Wall for rock climbing, Gyms for Monday soccer and Tennis Bubble for tennis. Collection by Parents for ISB+ activities: at 16:45 (17:45 for second hour martial arts) is in the ICC*. Tennis collection is in the tennis bubble. Collection for Italian, Norwegian and Scouts is directly from the instructors in the ES lunchroom as these activities have a different time schedule. *ICC = International Community Center, the big building past the MS, next to the upper track & field. Park in the chateau parking lot and walk across campus or park in the ICC parking lot—pass the Metairie green gates and continue along the small road to the second set of green gates at the end of the road on your right. Note that this parking lot is usually full during the regular school day.
