I strongly support student, parent, and teacher involvement. Therefore, I shall strive to do he
following:
 Support students, parents, and teachers by providing a positive atmosphere.
 Assist teachers in their roles as educators in order to provide high quality curriculum and
instruction for every child.
 Build self-esteem and motivate students for success.
 Provide a safe environment that encourages an open and positive communication
between teacher, parent, and student.
 Hold annual parent/teacher conferences to discuss the compact as it relates to their child’s
achievement.
 Give parents reasonable access to volunteer, participate, and observe in their child’s
class.

Parent/Guardian Agreement
I want my child to achieve. Therefore, I will commit to do the following:
 Communicate an attitude that school is important.
 Encourage my child and express pride in his/her efforts.
 Set a bedtime schedule so my child gets enough sleep.
 Provide a healthy diet, regular medical checkups, and exercise for my child.
 Monitor my child’s attendance in school.
 Establish a time and place for completing homework.
 Review my child’s Homework Folder and Tuesday Folder.
 Monitor television viewing.
 Support the teacher and his/her discipline plan.
 Read to my child or listen to him/her read.
 Provide open and on-going communication with my child’s teacher.

 Study all subjects regularly.

 Assign nightly homework to reinforce skills taught at school.
 Frequently communicate student’s progress on a regular basis.
 Provide an opportunity for parents to volunteer, participate, or observe in their child’s
classroom.
 Use research-based strategies to meet student’s individual needs.
 Show fairness and respect toward all students.
 Share my policies and procedures with parents and students.
 Focus on student’s academic and social development.
