There are no residential restrictions. Age is reckoned from 1st September in the year of the competition. CONDITIONS OF PERFORMANCE Competitor(s)/teachers admitted free of charge to those sessions in which they are taking part. Only authorised officials may remain at the side of the stage during any competition. In no circumstances will the making of unofficial sound, video or still photographic recordings be permitted at any performance, presented or organised by the Executive Council of the Jersey Eisteddfod. MARKING WILL BE IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES PLATINUM Outstanding GOLD Distinction SILVER Commended BRONZE Merit COPPER Fair TROPHIES AND VOUCHERS: These will be awarded to competitors who receive a Silver (or above) certificate. The decision of the Adjudicator shall be final. Trophies won during last year’s Eisteddfod must be returned on or before the Final Entry day. Competitors who fail to return their trophy will have their entry refused. DISPUTES: In the case of any dispute where the Adjudicator is unable to resolve the issue, an Arbitration Committee shall be convened to settle the matter. The Committee shall consist of the Chairman and Secretary, together with one of the Executive Officers acting as Chairman. The dispute shall be submitted by the competitor to the Arbitration Committee in writing with a £5 deposit, which shall not be refunded if the Committee deems the dispute petty or unreasonable. PROGRAMMES: Programmes outlining times and order of adjudication for all classes will be available at W.H. Smith and the Jersey Arts Centre just before half-term prior to the Competitions.
