“Reach Out” Fundraiser
To: Friends of Legacy Baseball
Two years ago, our new head baseball coach at Legacy HS, Ty Giordano, came to the school with a clear
vision of developing a “Championship” baseball program and the goal to develop responsible young student
athletes at one of the preeminent schools in the State of Colorado.
For a baseball program of excellence to exist, the program needs to be associated with high quality fields,
playing surfaces, practice equipment, and instruction/training support facilities. These valuable assets will
assist the young men in the program with becoming the best baseball players they can be thus enhancing our
hope of opening more doors of opportunity for them to continue their growth as student athletes at the
collegiate level.
During the past two years, with the help from the District and other program representatives, significant
improvements have been made and yet there remains much more to be done. School budgets have been cut
dramatically with many of the cuts coming from extracurricular activities; therefore, coaches must turn to
Booster Clubs and various other means of fundraising to support their programs. Faced with this dilemma, we
are “reaching out” to “Friends of Legacy HS Baseball. The total estimated cost of the “facilities
improvement projects” is $65,000.00. Through the hard work and generosity of time and talent of our
players, parents, and Booster Club we have available $21,000.00 to allocate to these projects and $17,500.00
of materials and labor has been generous donated to the program from local businesses. There remains a
“shortfall” of $26,500.00 yet to be raised to reach our goal.
We are “reaching out” to “Friends of Legacy HS Baseball, in hopes that they might make a tax deductible
contribution in support of reaching our funding goal. While any amount contributed would be sincerely
appreciated, we anticipate that individual contributions of $50 or greater will be necessary to meet our goal.
In return for your generous contribution you will receive a receipt for tax deduction purposes and be
recognized on our website www.legacyhighschoolbaseball.org as “Friends of Legacy HS Baseball”. We will
be making note of total contributions from anonymous donors if you choose to remain so. Donation
categories will be acknowledged as follows and only individual contributors will be listed (no dollar
amounts).
Singles Club - $1-$49
Doubles Club - $50-$99
Triples Club - $100-$149
Home Run Club - $150-or more
Please find enclosed a detailed list of the baseball facility improvement projects with associated cost
estimates and a donation form. We are hoping to complete these projects prior to the start of the 2011 baseball
season - assuming that funding requirements can be met.
The “Reach Out” fundraising period will end on Nov 15th. If you are able to offer your support, please fill out
the attached donation form, make check out to “Legacy Baseball Boosters”, and return form and check via
mail to y,y,y,y,y,y,y,y,y,y,y etc or to the Legacy HS Baseball Program Representative who asked for your
support.
