Dear colleagues! St Petersburg state university invites you to take part in the 52nd International conference “Mass media in the contemporary world Petersburg readings” from April 17-19 2013. The organizer of the conference is the “School of journalism and mass communications” The annual conference “Mass media in the contemporary world - Petersburg readings” is one of the biggest and most established Russian forums of researchers and practitioners of journalism and mass communications. The booklet with the conference papers are widely cited in the works of Russian and foreign specialists. International status of the conference offers opportunities to establish international contacts and cooperation with the leading centers of mass media research. Special events will be arranged for the representatives of the journalistic community from the Russian regions. The secretary of the event will inform you whether your papers have been accepted for publication. Theses of speech firstly are edited then placed on GSJMC website in the form of the booklet of conference papers. The booklet has its own date-line and all its materials are independent publications. One participant can apply one application and send theses under the framework of one event. The organizing committee reserves the right to decline the theses if they do not correspond to the publishing standards and the conference subjects. Requirements for the layout of theses and articles: The text of theses (not more than 2000 symbols) and articles (not more than 6 000 symbols) should be in Windows/Word; 1,5 interval, 14 character size, font Times New Roman Cyr; Without paragraph indention; The text is aligned left, the right side is free without hyphenation (shift); Without tables and schemes; Bibliographic links (if necessary) in the text in round brackets; The full name of the university; The format of the thesis doesn’t require the section “Literature”. All interested parties are welcome! Official invitations, if needed, will be sent to the conference participants by the event secretaries.
