There will be three levels to choose from. Your grade will be determined by your choice and output of the level
you do.
● Basic Level (up to 16/20 points which is equivalent to 80%)
○ This is a one-dimensional project. A drawing or sketch of a topic that is flat
● Proficient Level (up to 18/20 points which is equivalent to 90%)
○ This is a two-dimensional project which has perspective
● Higher Level (up to 20/20 points which is equivalent to 100%)
○ This is a 3-dimensional project which requires you to construct a model of your subject
Higher-level projects are more difficult and carry a higher level of honor, prestige, and points.
Except for Basic Level projects, you must put things in your own words. This includes physically typing or
writing them yourself, as well as not copying the exact words that someone else has written. Failure to put
things in your own words will give you an automatic zero points on all writing-related sections of the project.
PLEASE NOTE that it is very easy for me to find the web page from which a student plagiarizes a project.
Don’t do it!
You will have to research your topic and look information up for all Level projects. The information is not going
to be in your head. Some of the information may be in your textbook, but you can look for the rest of it on the
Internet, in encyclopedias, or at the library. See me if you don’t know what a library is. You will be required to
have 3 Valid sources and must cite them.
Neatness and artistic presentation count as part of the grade!
Ye Olde Middle Ages Research Project will be due on ________________ .
** A Basic Level or Proficient Level Project’s Maximum Score can INCREASE to the next level’s maximum
score by including a separate one-page written report about your subject/topic.
