She worked for the next eight years as a contract instructor for Amoco Corporation, teaching computer classes at various facilities throughout the country. After a year-long battle with cancer, she volunteered at First Baptist Raytown for two years and then was hired full time. She retired this year after 13 years as the Worship Ministry Assistant. She has been married 40 years and she and her husband, Charlie, have two daughters and two grandchildren. They will soon add three stepgranddaughters to their family. Trudy Buehler 2. Gene Foster is the Human Resources/GuideStone/Church Ministries Specialist, on the support Services Team of the Missouri Baptist Convention in Jefferson City. He formerly served the convention as Business Services Team Leader and Director of the Annuity and Insurance Department. Prior to joining the MBC staff in 1988, Gene was a supervisor fro the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, an insurance agent and customer service representative for The Nicklas Agency, Inc., Jefferson City; and a teacher and coach for the Sullivan, Missouri public schools. Gene is a native Missourian. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University, Springfield. He has been president of the Jefferson City chapter of Life Underwriters and is a member of the Southern Baptist Fellowship of State Annuity Representatives. Their current assignment came following nearly 30 years in the pastorate and a relentless global tug of God toward those without Gospel access. Though their current “assignment” is in the area of mobilizing SBC Churches in Missouri toward the nations, the calling to Gospel advancement in frontier area’s is deeply personal. Sandee and Rick are the parents of two young adult children. Joshua and his bride Tish reside in Kansas City where Joshua serves as Director of the Center for Church Planting at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
