WEEK ENDING 22nd JANUARY 2016 YEAR 3/4W CLASS ASSEMBLY Miss Womack’s class are holding a class assembly on Wednesday 27th January at 9.00 am. All parents/carers are invited to come along and watch. YEAR 3/4 COFFEE MORNING Thank you to all those parents/carers who came along to support the Year 3/4 coffee morning today. CHICKENPOX We have had a number of cases of chickenpox reported this week, so please check your children each night for any signs. Children can return to school once all their chickenpox have dried up. SWIMMING GALA Well done to the children who took part in Halton Schools’ Swimming Gala at Kingsway Leisure Centre this week; Travis McDonnell, Ellis Maitland Price, Abi Kelly, Macy Eastup, Hannah Wallace, Ebony Whitehurst, Tommy Knowles and Keane McDonnell. All children did extremely well and were a credit to the school. Well done to Travis, Keane and Macy who made it into the backstroke and breaststroke finals. MANDARIN Year 6 have started their Mandarin lessons this week. PANCAKE COMPETITION The School Council will be holding a competition from Monday 1st February to design a pancake. The sheets are 50p each and the prize is a pancake hamper. VALENTINE’S OWN CLOTHES DAY On Friday 12th February we will be holding a Valentine’s own clothes day when the children can come in wearing something red or pink for a donation of £1 towards school funds. HEADLICE We have had a number of cases of headlice this week. Please check your child’s hair each night to prevent this spreading. NURSERY NEWS Well done to John Reilly and Natalia Collins who have received Sunshine Certificates this week. BULLYBUSTERS On Thursday 28th January children from Reception to Year 6 will take part in Bullybuster anti-bullying workshops throughout the day.
