We have vacant position – Senior Specialist, BU QA, Ukraine
LOCATION: Kyiv, Ukraine
THE AIM OF THE ROLE:
Business Unit Quality shall assure that Business Unit and third parties activities affecting quality and
safety of products, packaging, premiums & promotions comply with local regulations as well as with Kraft
Foods Quality Chain Management System. Business Unit Quality shall assure continuous improvement in
execution and efficiency of Business Unit processes in order to meet Customer & Consumer expectations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinates the establishment, development and maintenance of systems to ensure compliance with
KF Quality Chain Management Systems and Policies.
2. Acts as a Quality link between local BU, other BUs, R&D, plants and Corporate Quality functions.
3. Drives continuous improvement for all quality aspects related to BU activities. Identify the
improvement needs and drive implementation of quality building programs thus improving quality
and reducing costs.
4. Ensures BU management is continuously updated about the important modifications and quality
status- prepares quality reviews and presents to BOM
5. Provides support to BU when needed to the decision making process, leading quality related risk
assessment (e.g. product returns from trade)
6. Warehouse/Re - packer Audit support: Responsibility for
a. Quality Assurance in local warehouses (Kraft Foods owned warehouses / external
warehouses, plant warehouses are exl.), distributor warehouses and Re- packers.
b. Developing procedures and ensuring regular monitoring of the Quality systems (QCMS) is
performed.
c. Following up issues raised through audits and ensure appropriate corrective actions are
implemented.
7. SS management support: provide support for Special Situations/emerging issues relating to quality
8. BU Driven consumer and customer complaints: review and identify evolving issues through regular
monitoring of the consumer & customer complaints data. Evaluate regular key issues and in
conjunctions with the relevant functions drives appropriate corrective actions are in place to correct
the issues and prevent from re-occurring.
9. Premium Coordination: Drives implementation working through the premium process for approving
premiums in compliance with KF policies, acts as BU premium coordinator from a Quality/Safety
perspective.
10. Licensee: ensure a system in place to review each of them has been evaluated by Corporate Auditing
whether an audit is required or not.
11. Periodic Mock Recall exercise to be carried out to
verify system capability (minimum annually). In co-ordination with plant quality, ensure systems to
trace entire history of a specific lot from receipt through all stages of storage and shipping
(identification of all materials handled and the customers to whom products were distributed (one
step upstream - material received and handled, one step downstream – products distributed t0). Also
ensure distributors can identify their customers downstream.
12. Label compliance approval: implement a system with the relevant function to ensure appropriate
review and approval of label artwork (Co-coordinating with regulatory/Corporate Affairs/PCM).
13. Manage Due Diligence/Regulatory Compliance issues involving imports: identify if due diligence
testing from a Supply Chain Quality perspective is required for imports. Drives implementation of a
process of import/export to ensure KF meet regulatory compliance
14. Make sure all BU quality related projects are reviewed and Quality prospective is provided
15. Training: Identify what training is required to ensure awareness and understanding of the Kraft
Quality requirements (eg. Warehouse, transport, storage and co-packing requirements, Cold Chain
management). Ensure effective training is identified/delivered to Supply Chain partners i.e.
Distributors, Retail, relevant BU functions
16. Field/Retail Audits: In conjunction with management, identify the scope and process to complete
Field Audits to monitor product/packaging quality at the store shelf. Drives implementation of a
system. Review/share results and implement corrective actions to meet learning’s.
17. Manage Quality issues/trade recalls (if any) with distributors with regular updates to BOM and
minimum disruption to business.
18. Warehouse Audits: Ensure Kraft warehouses/3PLs/Re-packers have effective programs/procedures
for managing External Audits. Also, support and participate in Global Corporate Quality Audits.
19. Support R&D/Manufacturing Projects i.e. Productivities, NPD trials, Commissioning, Transport trials
to simulate/evaluate the product handling in the Supply Chain.
REQUIREMENTS:
 University degree
 English - fluent communication both written and oral
 Academic background Bs, Ms, or PhD in Food Technology or related field
 Quality systems/processes knowhow (e.g. HACCP, ISO, etc.)
 Management experience of Quality Assurance across the value chain, encompassing R&D,
Procurement, Manufacturing, CS&L and related business processes
 Knowledge of Ukrainian Quality and Food Safety legislative requirements
 General knowledge of supply chain aspects (product traceability, warehousing practices, product
distribution, sales channels, etc.)
 General knowledge of lean/waste minimization principles & tools
 Computer literacy and ability to effectively use key applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS
Outlook, etc.).
 Strong Drive for Results attitude
 Strong Organizational skills
 Quick Problem Solving skills
 Ability to work in a team with cross-functional partners across supply chain network
 Interpersonal/Communication skills: ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and influence
others while dealing with complex situations
 Training: ability to identify training needs, develop and effectively conduct quality related trainings
for BU people as well as external customers
