Experience requirements
 At least 3+ years in a Systems or Business Analysis role with experience across a number of
complex programs and projects.
Role purpose
 Interpret and analyse business/system requirements and transform these into functional
specifications and related documentation to be used during ICT build/development phase.
 Construct optimal system design solutions to meet complex business/systems in a dynamic
and changing environment.
Role overview
Under supervision, an APS5 Systems Analyst will:
 Be responsible for the development of systems analysis artefacts (including but not
limited to data models, process flows, messaging standards and screen designs) in
consultation with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts.
 Build, manage and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
and actively participate in team work / group activities to understand and gauge their
expectations and concerns.
 Provide advice and guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 Use highly developed oral, written and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with
stakeholders.
 Analyse information system needs, problems and opportunities and recommend effective
system changes, business processes (or amendments) and/or alternative courses of
action.
 Participate in the review and assessment of systems or business analysis artefacts as
required (Peer Reviews).
 Acquire and apply knowledge of systems analysis methods and techniques, modelling and
quality assurance techniques to understand business processes and contribute to business
outcomes.
 Develop individual work plans while maintaining the ability to prioritise and flexibly deliver
competing deliverables in a dynamic environment.
