Formulas for estimates:
Total Cotton Lint Production (MT) = Bales/ha x Area under Cotton Production (ha) x 0.227 MT/bale. (Example: 10 bales/ha x 1000ha x 0.227 MT/bale = 2270 MT)
Seed Cotton Production (MT) (same as Total module weight) = Total Cotton Lint Production/Ginner turnout rate %. (Example: 2270 MT/0.42 = 5405 MT)
Average Seed Yield (MT Seed/ha) = Bales/ha x 0.250 MT/bale. (Example: 10 bales/ha x 0.250 MT seed/bale = 2.5 MT seed/ha)
Note: Seed Cotton Production (Total module weight) consists of cotton lint, cotton seed, trash and moisture.
