PUBLIC NOTICE
The Bunbury Fibre Plantations of Australia Pty Ltd (BFP) wishes to use Sodium fluoroacetate (1080) baits
to control rabbits, foxes and feral cats on lands the company manages.
BFP holds a Certificate of Forest Management SA-FM/COC-001528 issued by the Forest Stewardship

with stakeholders when a hazardous chemical is planned for use.
The use of 1080 baits is endorsed by the Department of Agriculture and Food and the Department of
Conservation and Environment and as such is the preferred method for controlling feral pest animals in
Western Australia and there is an obligation by BFP to control feral pest animals on land under its
management.
BFP seeks to use 1080 according to the law governing its use and will cooperate with community
endeavours to control feral pest animals in the region.
