Tuition-Supported Community Prekindergarten
Children who are four years old on or before September 1st and do not qualify for either the
Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities or Prekindergarten (described below) are
eligible to enroll in the Tuition-Supported Prekindergarten Program at Isaacs, Beaty, or
Pearson Early Childhood Schools. Parents agree to pay the tuition fee in 9 monthly
installments. There is an additional non-refundable registration fee of $100 per child. A

State and Federal Programs
Prekindergarten
Prekindergarten, a state-mandated program, serves children who are four years of age on or
before September 1 and who are limited-English speaking, military dependents, homeless, from
families that qualify for free or reduced lunch, or who have ever been in the conservatorship of
the Department of Family and Protective Services. Eligible students attend this program at no
cost to the family.

Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities
PPCD is a special education program that serves children between the ages of three to five who
have delays in the areas of speech, language, physical, social and/or emotional development.
Bilingual (Spanish) classrooms are provided when necessary. The amount of time and type of
services provided are determined by an Individual Education Program (IEP) committee.
Eligible students attend this program at no cost to the family. Students are eligible for services
on their third birthday.

You are asked to complete this form as part of the enrollment procedure.
By enrolling my child in the tuition-supported Early Childhood Program, I agree to the

____ The physical and immunization requirements for my child will be met by the first
day of school attendance.
____ I will provide a change of labeled clothing (underwear, slacks, shirts, socks) to be
kept at school.
____ My child may participate in supervised walking trips in the school neighborhood.
____ It is my responsibility to transport my child to and from school.
____ The school district must be notified in writing prior to withdrawing my child.
____ Any concerns regarding behavior management with my child at school will be
discussed with appropriate school staff and me.
(If students have persistent behavior problems that interfere with the general
welfare of others, they may be temporarily or permanently removed from the
program.)
____ The schedule of the early childhood schools will follow the Plano ISD school
calendar.
____ I agree to pay the yearly fee in nine installments, with the first installment due the
first day of school and the remaining installments due the first school day of each
month. Please see page 4 for information regarding returned checks. Parents will
need to read this policy carefully to understand and agree to all terms regarding
returned checks.
____ When payments are delinquent more than 10 school days, a student may be dropped
from the program.
____ I understand that if my child becomes eligible for either the PPCD or state-funded
prekindergarten program, she/he will be required to attend the feeder Early
Childhood School.
____ Picking up my child promptly at the end of the school day is a requirement. A
pattern of late pick ups could result in dismissal from the program.
____ I understand that if I notify the campus two weeks in advance of leaving the
program my tuition will be prorated to the half month.
