Saturday 27th June
Class 1 commences at 9am
Class 1 - In hand youngsters
Open to purebred Friesians up to and including 3 years of age.
Class 2 - In hand purebred (novice)
Open to mares and geldings 4 years and above, for either horse or
handler or a combination of both who are inexperienced with
showing. To be eligible to take part in this class the combination
should not have been placed 1st in any in hand showing class
previously.
Class 3 – Best of British
For any purebred Friesian born in Britain, open to any age mare,
gelding or stallion.
Class 4 - Purebred mares, geldings, stallions (open)
For any purebred Friesian mare, gelding or stallion. 4 years old
and above. Stallions will be judged separately if numbers permit
Class 5 - Best of Friesians Scotland - In hand
All Friesians previously owned by Friesians Scotland, mares,
stallions, geldings of any age are invited to compete for the best of
Friesians Scotland award, rosettes will be 1-6th in this class also.
Class 6 - Best mane and tail – In hand
Open to any purebred, any age stallion, mares and geldings
In hand championship
For all of those placed 1st and 2nd in classes 1-5

Class 7 - Novice Ridden
Open to novice horse and or novice rider, this class will be judged
in walk and trot only so is ideal for those who are new to showing
and those who have a young or inexperienced horse
Class 8 - Ridden Horse
Open to mares, geldings and stallions 4 years and above
Ridden Championship
For those placed 1st and 2nd in classes 7 and 8

Class 9 Fastest trot
This class will be a measured distance for each horse to trot, any
horse who breaks into canter is disqualified.

(approximately 15 minutes)
Class 10 – Pairs
Competitors to perform a routine together (made up by the pair),
you can wear your normal showing attire or in costume.
************* Short Display ***********************
(approximately 10 minutes)
Class 11 Concours d ’elegance
Competitors will not be expected to canter in this class but can do
so if they wish. May be ridden in traditional dress or costume with
the emphasis being on elegance.
Supreme Championship
For the in hand champion and reserve champion, the ridden
champion and reserve champion.

Class 12 Fancy dress
Glitz and glamour, knights in armour, headless horseman……. A
fun end to the day, anything goes!

All tests will be ridden in a 20m x 40m arena

For the music classes you may wear the normal dressage attire or
be in costume.

Stables will be available from Friday 12pm – Sunday evening and
will be £55.00 per stable. Straw bedding and haylage/hay
provided.
Stables must be pre booked and will be 1st come 1st served basis.
No stable will be held for anyone without the payment having been
received and stable numbers are limited.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
ALL EXHIBITORS ARE ASSUMED TO HAVE READ THESE
CONDITIONS AND HEREBY AGREE TO ABIDE BY THEM!
 BSI Kitemark hats (PAS 015, BSEN 1384, ASTM F1163, SNELL
 E2001) with secure chinstraps must be worn at all times when
riding, with
the exception of class 11 and 14
at your own risk! Any children under the age of 16 taking part
must wear riding hats.
 Late entries may be accepted at £10.00 per entry and only post
entries
 which arrive before the closing date will be accepted at £7.00 per
class Closing date for entries is Thursday 18th June 2015.
Cheques payable to “Friesians Scotland”
 The judge’s decision is final in matters of appeal or complaint by
 competitors.
 The organisers reserve the right to cancel or amalgamate classes in
the
 event of insufficient numbers.
 Objections must be lodged in writing to the organiser within no
more than one hour of an incident. A deposit of £30 must be paid;
this will be
 forfeited if the complaint is overruled. The decision of the
organiser is
 final.
 All dogs must be kept on leads at all times. The owner will be fined
£20
 for immediate payment when any dog is found running loose
anywhere
 on the showground.
 Exhibitors must ensure that horses / ponies are kept under control
at all
 times. Please give stallions and colts plenty of room!
 It is a requirement that all exhibitors have public liability
insurance.
PLEASE KEEP THE PARKING AREA TIDY AND TAKE ALL
LITTER HOME WITH YOU OR PUT IT IN A BIN. THANK
YOU!
Indemnification
The organisers will exercise all reasonable care and attention for the
safety of all exhibits and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for the
entire or partial loss or damage to the same, to any person or property,
whether through accident or otherwise, or through any act of omission of
themselves, servants or other persons from any other cause. It is a
condition of entry that all exhibitors hold the organisers blameless and
will indemnify them against legal proceedings and compensation for
damages in connection with any such accident or loss or damage
