My level of thinking and learning is… Algebraic Expressions I don’t know what an algebraic expression is. Prestructural Unistructural Multistructural Relational Extended Abstract I know that it is a sum or statement written with letters that stand for unknown numbers. I know that you can manipulate expressions by using the same rules as you do with numbers. I can move expressions around by doing the same to both sides, or using brackets. I know why I do the same to both sides, and what difference it makes to an expression if I don’t. I can multiply out or factorise brackets in order to help me solve or rearrange an expression. I can apply my knowledge of algebra to fractions written in algebra, and use it to simplify or solve them. I can use what I know about algebra to solve problems NOT ORIGINALLY GIVEN in algebraic terms.
