PREDATOR/
PREY
THE LION PREYS ON THE ZEBRA
THE LEOPARD PREYS ON THE IMPALA
COMPETITION
1) THE HYENA COMPETES WITH THE LION
FOR THE ZEBRA.
2) THE HYENA ALSO COMPETES WITH THE
LEOPARD FOR THE IMPALA.
SYMBIOTIC
RELATIONSHIPS
1) THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE
ELEPHANT AND A TICK IS CONSIDERED
PARASITISM BECAUSE THE TICK DRINKS TE
ELEPAHANTS BLOOD.
2) THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE
JACKALBERYY TREE AND THE TERMITES IS
CONSIDERED MUTUALISM BECAUSE THE
HEAVY SOIL FROM THE TERMITE MOUND WILL
PROVIDE GOOD SOIL TO THE TREE. ALSO, THE
TREE PROTECTS THE TERMITES FROM OTHER
PREDATORS.
3) THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEN THE LION AND
THE HYENA IS CONSIDERED COMMENSALISM
BECAUSE WHILE THE LION HUNTS IT’S PREY
THE HYENA EATS THE LEFTOVERS WITHOUT
THE LION BEING AFFECTED BY IT.
