Overview
The Department of Defense’s Materiel Command are responsible for managing
depots, arsenals, national inventory control points, planning and budgeting for all
the Department of Defense’s Weapon Systems.
This training will help the trainee develop a basic understanding of the Materiel
Maintenance and Supply Systems. It will provide information on the policies and
responsible activities that shape the roles of the specialized Logistician.
Our Mission
To train Logisticians for job specific functions in order to help resolve critical
shortages in the specialized skill sets of: Maintenance Engineering, Provisioning
(to include Cataloging and RPSTL) and Item Management.
Our Goal
To provide a training program that will allow the immediate employment or
reclassification for someone who wants to become a functionalist in one of the 3
offered courses.

of 2004 by the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations, certified by the
Alabama Workforce Development Agency (WIA) and licensed by the Alabama
Department of Post Secondary Education. At Apexio Solutions, we use Subject
Matter Experts (SMEs) instructors in which have a combined total of 98 years of
federal service. Apexio Solutions uses the latest information on CCSS & LMP
databases. All curriculums have an End of Course Demonstration to prove out
training. All training materials and most supplies are provided by Apexio
Solutions, Inc.

Elective - Materiel Systems and Acquisition Management
This course is designed to familiarize civilian personnel or federal contractors,
who are in the acquisition workforce, with the policies of Department of Defense
(DOD) and the materiel systems. Discussion will also include Acquisition
Categories, System Phases, Milestones and DOD and Materiel Commands’
Organizational Structures.

Elective - Sustainment Logistics
A general overview of the importance of logistics in the sustainment of combat
forces. The five functional elements of logistics will be discussed: Supply,
Maintenance, Transportation, Services and Facilities. These five elements are key
to the new Logistics Transformation Plan.

Elective - The Role of the Logistician on the WST
You will not only learn your role and responsibilities as a Logistician, but also gain
an understanding and appreciation of the other team members on the Life-Cycle
Management and Command (LCMC) Weapon System Team (WST).

You will learn to differentiate between major and
secondary items, the policies on PICA, SICA, NSN,
FSCM and MOE Rule, analyze usage factors and
experience data to compute requirement stock, future
demands assets, backorders and the EOQ (Supply
Control Study). RD&ES, understand how to compute
for the initial and replenishment of an item utilizing
the ARSIP, SLAC and SESAME calculations, understand
how the Item Manager determines inventory quantity
and support for the supply depots (DLA) and what
data to input, retrieve and analyze (Army NICP,
Installation and Depot) databases (CCSS, Retail and the
LMP initiative) in order to manage supply
requirements.

You will learn what Provisioning is, the various provisioning
actions, the relationship provisioning has with program
milestones and the Provisioning Database, what entails:

of Proposals, Contract Review, Provisioning Guidance
Conference and the Provisioning Conference, understand
how to establish a LCN, PCCN, PCC, PLISN, TM Number and
access the PCR file and 01L Card, understand the
importance of the SMR codes as to be able to appropriately
assign the correct code to major and secondary items, what
PMR and NSNMDR are and understand the Structural,
Maintenance, Cataloging and RPSTL Data Elements, verify
the Configuration, verify the Data Elements and Document
the findings, learn how to receive the PPL, SPTD and the
RPSTL Art for review and load into the database,

Maintenance Engineering
You will learn to: translate the requirements of an ORD
to a system’s specification and develop the Maintenance
Concept of a system based on the ORD, determine how
maintenance will be performed on a system based on the
Maintenance Concept, define the work effort based on
the requirements and determine a system’s
configuration to its functionality based on the
performance requirements, implement MIL-STD 1388
and LMI, determine maintenance level utilizing the
computer model COMPASS, formulate equations for the
reliability, availability and maintainability of a system
based on beta tests, identify failure modes and the effect
of a system, write plans to demonstrate and validate all
the support elements of a system, understand how
eminent the FCA process is to the performance
requirements, how the PCA validates the technical
documentation, structure a MAC, write a Maintenance
Support Plan based on the MAC, generally understand
the Provisioning Process and generally understand the
types of Publications, input data as to update a system’s
support
requirement
using
FFUR,
EIR/QDR
LASR/DEMIL/SMR and understand the business
processes of the applicable databases for Maintenance
