Explain research ethics principles and identify research ethics issues in the research process and from a community perspective. Course content Theory of Science The qualitative and quantitative research process Quantitative and qualitative research methods for data collection and processing, Excel-based assignment in statistics Research documentation and critical article review Evidence-based radiography and short essay writing as a basis for project plan Research ethics Course delivery Teaching and learning take place through individual studies, lectures, laboratory sessions, study assignments and seminars where a minor essay, a basis for the project plan of the degree project is presented. Participation in laboratory sessions and seminars is compulsory. Examination Written examination assignment that is examined in the form of a presentation of a minor essay in a seminar that underlies the future project plan. Web-based examination in basic statistics. Critical review of scientific articles and research methods are presented in writing and in seminars. To pass the course, it is required that the all parts of the course be completed and passed. Criteria for pass and pass with distinction are stated in the study guide Additional information This is a first-cycle course. Study supervision is provided in the course room in Fronter.
