Coding: Students will continue to explore the
world of Computer Science with the “Hour of
Code” online program. Today, students are
continuing to write their own code and use
“repeat loops” to move the bird to get the pig.
Audio books on iPods with comprehension
questions using Google Forms
2nd Grade Slice of Life Global Collaboration
Project: Students created projects for 2nd
grade classrooms in Pennsylvania to show
them special things about our school day.
They created projects for Durfee students.
Durfee students will be watching one
another’s projects and using a Google Form
to offer peer feedback.
Interactive Jeopardy Game on Smartboard
targeting vocabulary
Mystery Number Skype: Students will lead a
Mystery Number Riddle with 4th graders in
Arkansas via Skype. Students will present
their previously prepared clues and the 4th
graders will use clues to answer the riddle.

iTunes University: Students will continue to
use iTunesU in conjuction with daily math
lessons. Today students will participate in a
blended learning lesson followed by a
differentiated project in which they will
demonstrate their knowledge.
Mother’s Day Analogies using Popplet app
Students will be practicing their mapping
skills using Google Forms in preparation for
their 3rd Mystery Skype Location. So far they
have guessed the locations of classes in
Colorado and Iowa.

We’ve Got Our I’s on Careers Skype: The
Class of 2025 will Skype with Trenton, a
Production Manager, in Atlanta. Prior to our
interview, students researched Trenton’s
educational and professional background.
Today students will lead the interview with
specific questions surrounding Trenton’s
background. Immediately following the
interview students will begin to blog about
their experience using the Blogger app.
