Welcome to Central Connecticut State University's School of Graduate Studies and congratulations on your acceptance! We are looking forward to seeing you on campus and hope that you will take advantage of all the learning opportunities CCSU has to offer.
In the acceptance packet from CCSU, you should have received information about the
Graduate Studies Catalog, a planned program of study form, medical requirements, and for full-time students, a confirmation deposit form.
When you are new on campus, please stop by the Graduate Studies office in Barnard
Hall, Room 102 to obtain a hard copy of the Graduate Studies Catalog and the
Graduate Handbook.

The following checklist will assist you as you begin your CCSU graduate program:
¤ Parking on campus is permitted in student designated spaces with a student permit/decal obtainable from the Card Center in the Student Center Bookstore (860)
832-2140.
¤ Full time graduate students are charged an admission confirmation deposit of
$200.00 prior to class registration. This fee is payable at the Bursar’s Office, located in
Memorial Hall, Room 104 or through your student pipeline account. You will need your
ID number, which is found on your acceptance letter.
¤ Register for classes. This can be completed online, on campus or via regular mail.
Information about the registration process is available online or in the Course Listing
Booklet. The booklet is distributed at the Enrollment Center in Willard Hall, room 100. If you require assistance in choosing courses, contact your advisor whose name is found on your acceptance letter. For student registration, visit the Registrar’s Office website.
¤ Student ID. New students need to obtain a Blue Chip ID card (student identification card) which is used at facilities such as the parking garages, library, computer labs, and to attend campus events. The Card Office is in the Student Center Bookstore. Students should bring a copy of their class schedule and a valid form of identification.
¤ Computer Account. All new students need to create a BlueNet account which provides access to CCSU computing services, both on-campus & off-campus e-mail, online registration, and much more. The account can be created online or in person at the Marcus White Student Technology Center .
¤ Medical Requirements. Full time students are required by the state to have a physical examination and provide proof of immunizations. Part time students must
provide proof of immunizations. All forms are available at the Health Services Office in
Marcus White Annex or the website .
¤ Program of Study. The planned program of study form is a list of courses/capstone requirements needed to complete your program. This form should be completed with your advisor according to your program requirements before the end of your first semester, unless your program specifies otherwise. Your acceptance letter as well as the CCSU website provides the name, email address and phone number of your program advisor.
¤ Tuition/Course Fees. Full time and Part Time students pay through the Bursar’s
Office in Memorial Hall. Students may request a payment plan through Central Payment
Plan (CPP) found on the Bursar’s Website .
¤ Further Information is available online at www.ccsu.edu/grad as well as in the Graduate Studies Handbook and Graduate Catalog . These publications contain all policies and procedures f or graduate students and programs. Inf or mation about graduate assistantships, scholarships, and various f or ms are located online and in the publications. The catalog and handbook and all graduate related f or ms can also be obtained in the Graduate Studies Office located in Henry Barnard Hall, room 102.
