CLINICAL ORIENTED SOCIAL WORK PH. D. PROGRAM
Social work is an important discipline aimed to conduct professional studies with in the frame of team work for individuals,
families, groups and communities coming from different part of society and need social work because of surviving their lives
with psychosocial and economic problems emerging out of their control. The need of further clinical interventions has been
increasing gradually in social work practice to solve complex problems are encountered by the groups who need social work
and enter the focus of social work discipline’s professional activity with the frame of social work policies. Therefore,
Doctorate of Clinically Oriented Social Work Program is aimed to contribute in acquiring and enhancing occupational
knowledge and skill for the professionals who attend their education in the field of social work and target further studies both
practice and academic level. The Doctorate Program founded in Institute of Health Sciences began to admit student in 20132014 academic year. This Program of Doctorate beginning academic life as the first Doctorate Program in our country in terms
of clinically oriented social work training.
