Intense Lighting Releases V-RAIL IVR15 LED Lighted Handrail System
Industry’s first true 1.5” outer diameter rail is ADA compliant and offers asymmetric reflector option
Anaheim, CA, April 9, 2014 – Intense Lighting, Inc. (www.IntenseLighting.com), a manufacturer of LED
specifications grade lighting solutions, has announced the release and immediate availability of its VRAIL IVR15 LED lighted handrail system. Already recognized in the 2013 Next Generation Luminaires™
(NGL) Outdoor Awards, the system is compliant with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and has been
designed to illuminate stairways, ramps and walkways while also acting as a handrail or guardrail.
The V-RAIL IVR15 is a sleek, high performance system that consumes 45% less energy than comparable
products while delivering up to 10 foot candles - more than double the average. It features a closely
packed array of LEDs that provide a smooth, continuous flow of light in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K or 4000K
CCT.
A unique 3-part IDA-approved optical system allows for precision symmetrical or asymmetrical light
distribution. The asymmetric reflector option offers increased lighting efficiency for end or wall mount
versions, delivering light exactly where intended and not wasting it against the mounting surface. The
optical system includes a small 90° aperture, which maximizes glare control and cut-off.
The V-RAIL IVR15 is available as a hand rail or guard rail, and has wall, post or embedded mount options.
It is constructed with a heavy duty aluminum alloy internal rail and a 304 stainless steel external jacket,
and has an access door for easy replacement of boards and optics in the field.
