BFI LOVE BLOCKBUSTER SEASON (NOV-DEC) VALENTINE’S DAY – TWITTER CAMPAIGN #whatislove The Film Audience Network (FAN) are working in collaboration with the British Film Institute (BFI) to hold a national wide twitter campaign in the week running up to Valentine’s Day to inform and engage the public about the subject of Love ahead of the announcement of the BFI LOVE Blockbuster season in Nov/Dec 2015. We are encouraging all members of FAN who tweet to engage their audiences in a lively discussion about their favourite films about love. The main goal will be shares and comments/feedback on featured films, which will be fed back to the programmers and start a conversation with your audience. The evidence base we will gather as part of this campaign will inform a shared approach to develop cross marketing for the season at the local, regional and UK wide level. This is a great opportunity to work with the BFI and interact with their online audience. Please note: this is NOT an announcement of the season later in the year but a separate exercise in audience interaction. Please don’t refer to the Blockbuster season in your tweets. Below is the draft schedule of what the BFI will be tweeting daily from Monday 9 Feb from their @BFI handle. It is hoped that FAN members come up with similar quotes, questions and images to engage their audiences and start a National conversation. Feel free to retweet the BFI texts and add additional commentary with different angles. If you can only manage to tweet once, consider the starting question - What's the best romance film of all time? #whatislove BFI Schedule: Day Mon 9 Feb Tue 10 Feb @BFI Copy What's the best romance film of all time? #whatislove Sat 14 Feb "Can it be that it was all so simple then?" - The Way We Were #whatislove "For all this talk of passion, how about marrying for love…?"Monsoon Wedding #whatislove “You know what it's like when you first sleep with someone you don't know?” - Weekend #whatislove “Every time you move tomorrow, I want you to be reminded that I've been here.
