Terms of Reference
The Academic Malpractice Committee is responsible for reviewing alleged cases of
academic malpractice, and if proven, approve the penalty to be imposed upon the student.
1. To investigate an allegation of academic malpractice, having regard to the evidence
presented to it by staff and students.
2. To determine whether academic malpractice has occurred and if so, the severity of
malpractice.
3. To approve the penalty that should be applied for the academic malpractice and
report this to the Board of Examiners.
Frequency of meetings: prior to Boards of Examiners
Quorum: 100%
Reporting lines:
The Academic Malpractice Committee reports to the Board of Examiners.
