GREEN HILLS ACADEMY GRADE SIX MATHEMATICS GEOMETRY INSTRUCTIONS Your answers should be in pencil only TYPES OF ANGLES Complementary Angles Two angles are said to be complement, if their sum equals 90 degree. Use the definition of complementary angle to solve the worksheet of matching complementary angles. SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLES Two angles are said to be supplement, if their sum equals 180 degree. Use the definition of supplementary angle to solve the worksheets Linear Pair angles If a ray stands on a straight line, it forms a pair of angle. This pair is called as linear pair. According to linear pair properties, the sum of the angles equal 180 degree Vertical Angles Vertical Angles are the angles opposite each other when two lines cross .If any two lines intersect, at a point of intersection, it forms four angles. Vertically opposite angles are equal. Two angles are given to identify the vertical angles easily. Identify rest of the two missing angles in the worksheet given. Corresponding Angles When two parallel lines are crossed by another line (which is called a Transversal), the angles in the matching corners are called corresponding angles. Identify corresponding angles in parallel and transversal lines. Corresponding angles are equal. Using the property of corresponding angle, find the missing angles Alternate Angles There are two types of alternate angles: Interior and Exterior. Use angle worksheets to identify the missing alternate angles Consecutive-interior Angles Interior angles on the same side of transversal called as co-interior or consecutive interior angles. Consecutive interior angels are supplement to each other. Consecutive-exterior Angles Exterior angles on the same side of transversal called as co-exterior or consecutive exterior angles. Consecutive exterior angels are supplement to each other.
