St. Richard’s Catholic Primary School is a Good School as judged by Ofsted in our recent inspection and has recently become an Academy as part of the Kent Catholic School Partnership. We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, who wishes to develop their career in our increasingly successful and popular school that is at the heart of a supportive Catholic community. We offer an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on raising standards and providing creative opportunities which allow pupils to learn and achieve. We are looking to appoint someone who is able to inspire our young learners, working with energy and enthusiasm. This role will involve you working across the whole school, supporting pupils in class and in intervention groups and therefore, you will have excellent communication skills and be a strong team player to allow pupils to reach their goals. We ask that you are educated to GCSE grade ‘C’ or above in Maths and English together with a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. This is initially a fixed term position of 26.25 hours per week, term time only plus 5 Staff Development Days until the 31 August 2015, with the possibility of the post being extended. The post will involve providing daily support for lunchtime duty cover which will be paid in addition.
