Costs listed include double occupancy accommodations aboard riverboat; meals, field trips, tips,
transfers and airport taxes. This fee is for the Amazon trip only and does not include UHCL
tuition and fees for optional course registration. Participants must complete an information
survey and may be required to pass a physical exam. Each participant must acquire the
appropriate immunizations and provide a valid passport for a travel visa. Additional costs may be
required for passport, passport photos, visa applications, immunizations, beverages aboard the
boat and personal souvenirs.
****We will be flying to Manaus, Amazonas Brazil on Delta Airlines out of Atlanta. You will be
responsible for making your own airline ticket reservations. Following are the flights you

* In order to arrive and leave the expedition with the group, you must book your travel
to/from Manaus on Delta 557/558 through Atlanta.
** You may book a different flight to Atlanta (e.g., out of IAH if that’s more convenient than
Hobby), as long as you can meet up with us in Atlanta before 3:30pm on Monday, July
13. Please make sure your ticket out of Houston is linked to the Manaus flight – it will
ensure proper transfer of your luggage in Atlanta AND eliminate baggage fees!
*** You may also book a different flight from Atlanta back to Houston on July 26.
