Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne is known throughout the Valley for hosting tremendous golf events, and the 2014 Stoneyard Shootout was no different. Under sunny skies and balmy late-May temperatures, 79 men and women began their quests for six separate titles in a shotgun start that began at 9:00 a.m. Divisions were once again handicapped, and once again competition was fierce. By 2:30 p.m. the tournament was complete with some players even going back out to play more on an absolutely fantastic course! Local favorite Jaron Warrick recorded the lowest round of the day with a 73 to win Championship flight. Jaron Warrick battled back from a double on #8 to make three birdies on the back nine to win by three over Leo Connolly. Afterwards, Warrick said it helped knowing the course and he also really had a good time with his playing partners. VGO winner Derrick Meier had a couple of holes to forget but was able to keep his points lead with a respectable 4th place finish.
