Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Scriptures

Genesis 18:14 (NKJV)

Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."

1 Samuel 17:47 (NKJV)

Then all this assembly shall know that the lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the lord's, and he will give you into our hands."

We simply represent god in the battle!!

Psalm 34:3-4 (NKJV)

Oh, magnify the lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. [4] i sought the lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Numbers 13:31-33 (NKJV)

But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we." [32] And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. [33] There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."

Proverbs 29:25 (NKJV)

The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

John 12:32 (NLT)

And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself."

2-Genesis 18:14b (NKJV)

At the appointed time I will return to you....

God had an appointed time for Abraham & Sarah.....

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven...

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Notice Mary's season:

Luke 1:26-27,30-31 NKJV

Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named

Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.

[30] Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

[31] And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.

Luke 1:34 (NKJV)

Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?"

Luke 1:37 (NKJV)

For with God nothing will be impossible."

(Is anything too hard for the Lord?)

Sarah/Mary difference!!

Luke 1:38 (NKJV)

Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

[6] But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Mark 9:23 NKJV

[23] Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

3-Genesis 18:14c (NKJV)

...according to the time of life...

John 14:6 (NKJV)

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Matthew 10:39 (NKJV)

He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

Matthew 20:28 (NKJV) just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

4-Genesis 18:14d (NKJV)

... and Sarah shall have a son."

Sarah had a son, Mary had a son.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NLT)

For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. [12] In those days when you pray, I will listen.

[13] If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

1 Corinthians 1:27-31 (NLT)

Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. [28] God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. [29] As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God. [30] God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. [31] Therefore, as the Scriptures say, "If you want to boast, boast only about the

Lord."

Notes:

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

No!! Nothing is too hard or impossible for our God!!

Q: Ever been given a promise that seems almost impossible to believe or at least is going to be hard for you to fulfill or accomplish?

Abraham get this promise from God that his offspring will number the stars in the sky & that he & his wife Sarah will conceive the child who will kick start this blessing!!

Problem: I'm 108 Lord & Sarah is 90!!

Abraham must have thought: That's either God having a sense of humour or me having

Alzheimer’s & I’ve forgotten I’m 108

But God says to Abraham & Sarah: Is Anything too hard for the Lord?

It's not what happens to us in life but how we respond to what happens in life.

Ultimately the battle is the Lords!!

Is anything too hard for the lord?

Genesis 18 Abraham & Sarah were in a battle!! A battle to have children!!!

God appears with promise!!

(As i'm speaking right now Gods promises are appearing in your life to strengthen your faith because faith comes by hearing.....)

But in the natural it seemed impossible & whenever you focus on the problem you make your problem Big & God small causing you to either delay the promise or even miss the promise of

God.

Sarah overhears their conversation of her going to have a child & being 90 years old, which to her was a big problem, she laughs within herself.

Focuses on the seeming impossibility, making it Big & not on Gods promise & possibility making God small.)

Much like the 10 Spies who were sent to see their promised land!!

Focusing on man & his ability will make man seem gigantic & God seem minute!!

We have to make God BIG in every area of our lives!!

In good times & bad times!! Or else things will seem hard to you for God to solve.

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Often get asked How long must I still wait? How long is my season?

Things are hard Pastor & I need God to come through for me now!!

Q:But Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Sarah's laugh displays her immaturity in trusting God!!

She had to be taught to trust!!

We know that because her PlanB-Hagar, produced Ishmael causing much marital turmoil & upheaval: Bible tells us that from from promise to promotion took 25 years!!

Does God's appointed time take 25 years for everything?

Mary's process was 3 months, Sarah's 25years.

Delay is never denial but wrong believing will produce wrong living & right believing will produce right living.

Israelites should've taken 2weeks to cross from Egypt to Israel but took 40 years causing delay to their promise.

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

No, but often we can make it hard for ourselves!!

God wants you to have victory , He wants you to live out your life plan!!

But through all of this God wants you simply to let Him have the glory!!
