This Organizer Code of Conduct sets out Wizards of the Coast’s expectations for its Event Organizers in their
operation of sanctioned organized play events (“Events”). The Code of Conduct is designed to ensure the integrity
of Wizards’ organized play system and the associated stores and play locations, as well as the comfort of players
and other Event attendees.
In additional to complying with the Wizards Play Network Terms, all Organizers are required to follow these rules.
Violation of any provision of the Code of Conduct may result in suspension or termination of an Organizer from
Wizards’ organized play programs, as determined by Wizards in its sole discretion.

Organizers should run all their Events in public spaces and comply with the following standards for themselves, for
the play environment they provide attendees, and for their staff:
Running Quality Organized Play Events

Access to Events may not be restricted in any manner (such as “members only” and/or “ages 21 and over
only”)

Restroom facilities must be clean, sanitary and accessible to all Event participants, staff and attendees

The Event location must be a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for attendees and event staff

Appropriate supervision must be provided to ensure Event participants and attendees conduct
themselves in a reasonable and polite manner

The Event must be conducted in a way that is fair, tolerant, respectful, complies with Wizards game play
rules, and provides a welcoming community experience to players and spectators

Appropriate supervision must be provided to prevent and prohibit unsportsmanlike conduct by Event
participants and attendees, including excessive volume, theft, wagering, disrupting the Event or not
respecting other players

Abusive or inappropriate behavior of any kind from anyone, including harassment or intimidation in any
form (verbal, physical or visual), vulgar language, fighting, or threats is not permitted at Events.
Organizers must immediately report any incidents of harassment, intimidation, violence or the threat of
violence to their local law enforcement and notify Wizards by contacting Customer Service

Reasonable measures must be taken to prevent and prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color,
creed, religion, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, public assistance status, disability, age, national
origin, or veteran status. Organizers must immediately report any incidents of discriminatory behavior to
Wizards by contacting Customer Service

Organizers must ensure each player and spectator’s compliance with that Event’s rules and prevent illegal
or otherwise inappropriate conduct
Conducting Yourself as an Event Organizer

Organizers must comply with applicable Event rules for an Organizer including, but not limited to, Wizards’
tournament rules, and Event sanctioning rules.

Events will not be used to further a particular political or religious standpoint

Unauthorized solicitation and/or fundraising during an Event is not permitted

Reasonable measures must be taken to ensure that any outside entertainment at an Event provided by an
Organizer is appropriate and not offensive to attendees

Distribution, publication or display of pornographic and/or sexually explicit material at an Event is not
permitted

Distribution, consumption, or sale of drugs and alcohol at an Event is not permitted
Working with Wizards of the Coast

Organizers may not display any of Wizards’ brands, products, materials, names, and/or trademarks in a
way that is disrespectful, demeaning, or otherwise harmful

Organizers should promote an atmosphere and community that is welcoming to new players

Organizers must make a reasonable effort to run events and use program materials and prizes for their
intended purpose, and follow surplus prize support policies as directed by program kit instructions and/or
Terms & Conditions

Organizers are responsible for staffing Events and for providing a safe and healthy environment for all
Event attendees by conducting sufficient due diligence which may include, inspecting the location of the
Event for safety and/or health concerns, sufficiently staffing the Event to provide necessary oversight and
customer support for the Event, and conducting background checks of its staff, as appropriate

Organizers may not make public statements or disclosures including, but not limited to statements to
news media regarding Wizards’ proprietary business practices or other information that should
reasonably be considered confidential

Organizers must avoid circumstances that present even the appearance of a conflict of interest

Organizers must respond completely, honestly, and candidly in communications with Wizards. Incomplete
or false communications with Wizards are strictly prohibited

Organizers may not engage in public criticism of a player, a judge, another Organizer, an Event or Wizards
employee. Organizers are expected to conduct their business and the execution of Events in a
professional manner

Retaliation against players, spectators or other Organizers who submit or participate in the investigation
of any complaints is not permitted

Organizers may not represent themselves as an employee or agent of Wizards

Organizers may not engage in any other activities that Wizards deems inappropriate (e.g., violation of
other applicable Wizards terms and conditions)
