Project Supervisor
Responsible to:
Heads of Unit/Project Officer/Project Manager
Job Outline:
Leading projects in the field, supervision of fieldteams, undertaking post-excavation analysis and
reporting.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:









To assist in implementing agreed programmes of fieldwork within strict time
and budgetary constraints. Will have a major role identifying changing
priorities during fieldwork.
Comply with all TPA/YAT policies and to follow safe working practices at all
times.
Responsible for the supervision of small - medium field teams and the
coordination of post-excavation tasks in conjunction with the Project
Officer/Manager.
Capable of undertaking survey, post-excavation analysis and assist in the
preparation of grey reports.
Where practical, will be expected to develop specialist skills to assist the unit
in its strategic aims (e.g. geophysics, small finds) and advance personal
career development.
Represent the Unit in the public sphere as part of the outreach strategy.
Driving Unit vehicles to site.
Maintain current First Aid at Work certificate, CSCS & Quarry Passport.
Any other duties/tasks that may be reasonably requested by line managers.
