Clues for a Children`s Mystery Sculpture Trail

Adventurous Sculpture Trail.
Follow the clues!
Below you will find clues which will take you round
7 of the sculptures on the Sculpture Trail Leaflet.
You will need the map to help you locate some of
them, others you will follow directions or need to
look out for objects to help you find your way.
Try not to cheat and jump ahead by looking at the
next clue. Solve the first one and go to that
sculpture before you start on the next clue sheet.
If you get really stuck, on the very last page you’ll
find the names of the sculptures and the order in
which you would visit them if you follow the clues.
One last thing, the campus is a busy place with lots
of traffic so please be very careful when crossing
roads.
So that’s the instructions out of the way, you can
now turn to Clue No 1
Clue No 1 – This one is a bit tricky so you might
have to put your heads together.
If you can work this clue out you will find the first
part of the name of a sculpture.
Tip - Use the map with all the names of the sculptures on to
help you if you are stuck. If all else fails you can have a quick
peak at the answers on the last page.

Clue No 4
Some important things you need to remember about Grown in the
Field to get to your next sculpture……
1. What is it made of? 2. How many spiral shapes are there?
3. What colour is it? 4. Is it smooth or rough?
Walk back down off the grass to the path
If Grown in the Field is made of Stone turn Left
at the path,
if it is made of Metal turn Right
follow the path round keeping
the steps to your right, walk to the road and stop!
Cross the road very carefully and walk straight on to the end of the
pavement, stop at the bike stand
If Grown in the Field is formed of 2 shapes turn Right
if it is formed of 5 shapes turn Left
Follow the path with the brick wall on your left hand side continue
down the little pathway until you arrive at a salt bin
If Grown in the Field is Pink turn Left
if it is Grey turn Right
Walk straight ahead following the white walls round to your right
until you reach the double grey doors
If Grown in the Field is Smooth turn Right
If it is Rough turn Left
Walk straight ahead, you’re nearly there! Go through the doors and
look up you should see your next sculpture!
