Terms and Conditions
Sky Racing are giving away a weekend for two at the Hunter Valley!
How to enter
1. To enter, Eligible Entrants must:
 Follow’ @SkyRacingAU on Twitter and during the Promotion Period vote for one of
the stallions named below; and
 Tell us “ ‘Why you think the stallion you’ve chosen has been the best Australian bred
stallion this century (so far)?’ in 140 characters or less using one of the following
three hashtags (pending which horse the entrant wishes to vote for):
o
#EDLRules (for Encosta De Lago)
o
#RedoutesmyChoice (for Redoute’s Choice) or
o
#FastnetRocks (for Fastnet Rock)
2. Competition opens 8:30pm (AEDT) Thursday 12th November 2015 and closes on 4pm (AEDT)
Wednesday 2nd December 2015 (Promotion Period).
3. The winner will be chosen from the individuals who voted for the winning stallion. The
winning stallion will be the stallion which gets the largest number of votes (must feature
hashtag).
4. The winning entrant will be the viewer that provides the most ‘entertaining and creative’
tweet, singing the praises of the winning stallion. As voted for by Sky Racing’s Caroline
Searcy, Jemma Cutting and a representative of the winning stud.
5. To help your decision Sky Racing will be showing three short video clips on each stallion via
Bred To Win on Sky Thoroughbred Central (Foxtel Ch 521) 8:30pm (AEDT) Thursdays:


The winner will be announced on the ‘Bred To Win’ Program on Sky Thoroughbred Central
(Foxtel Ch 521) from 8:30pm (AEDT) on Thursday 3rd December 2015 and also notified by a
Sky Racing representative via direct message on Twitter, will also be announced via
@SkyRacingAU Twitter page within 24 hours of the announcement on Bred To Win.
The Prize
7. The winner will receive a weekend for two in the Hunter Valley (the Prize) consisting of:
 1 night accommodation for two people in the Hunter Valley (Valued at $185)
 Lunch for two people and a stallion Parade at Coolmore Stud (Valued at
$120)
 Brunch for two people and a stallion parade at Arrowfield Stud (Valued at
$120)

Flights from the winners nearest capital city to Sydney (if required) (Value up
to $900). If a winner is from Sydney or NSW area this part of the prize will
not be provided. [flights for 2 people if included].
Car hire [For 2 days] (Valued at $550)
The total prize is valued at $975 (or up to $1875 if flights are included).
8. The Hunter Valley Weekend must take place between 21 May - 26 June 2016 on a mutually
agreed date between the Winner and the Promoter.
9. The promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the Winners.
10. Prize values are GST inclusive, are in Australian dollars and are the recommended retail
values as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. The Winner/s are
responsible for all associated costs with the prize, including where applicable any other
ancillary costs.
Eligible Entrants
11. The promotion is open to Australian residents only. Entrants must be 18 years old or over to
enter. Only one entry per person.
12. The promoter is Sky Channel Pty Ltd (Sky) 79 Frenchs Forest Road, Frenchs Forest, NSW,
2086, ABN 77 009 136 010 (the Promoter).
13. Persons not eligible to enter:

Directors, officers and employees of (and contractors to) the Promoter or its
related bodies corporate and its related companies and their immediate
family are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. For the purposes of
these Conditions of Entry, “immediate families” means a spouse (including
de facto), parent, sibling, child, grandparent, grandchild, or parent in law
and includes stepparents and stepchildren and half siblings; and

Excluded Persons may not enter. “Excluded Persons” means any person
identified as a minor, self-excluded patron or involuntarily excluded patron.
If a person is identified as an Excluded Person, the Promoter reserves the
right to refuse to allow the person to take part in the Promotion, or receive,
any or all aspects of the Prize, and the Promoter will notify any relevant
regulator accordingly where required by law to do so.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whom it suspects has tampered
with the entry process. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, this might include
entries being submitted by a third-party entity on behalf of an entrant (including a
sweepstakes and/or contest agency), entries being forged, altered or generated by a macro,
script or other automated means (including via a computer programme or bot), an entrant
entering into an arrangement or understanding with a third party or third parties which
results in more than one entry being made by that entrant, or an entrant submitting an
entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

15. Each entrant warrants to the Promoter that each entry submitted is an original creative
work of the entrant that does not infringe on the rights of any third party.
16. Prize values are GST inclusive, are in Australian dollars and are the recommended retail
values as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. The Winner/s are
responsible for all associated costs with the prize, including where applicable any other
ancillary costs.
17. All Prizes will be awarded as specified in to the Prize Details. If a Prize is unavailable for any
reason, the Promoter, at its discretion, may substitute it for another item of equal or higher
value. The Prize(s) or parts of Prizes are subject to availability, non-transferrable and nonexchangeable, must be used on the dates specified in these terms and are not redeemable
for cash.
18. Individuals must have a Twitter account in order to participate in the Promotion. Incomplete
or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
19. All entries become the property of Sky Racing and entrants consent to their personal
information being used or disclosed for any promotional activities associated with the
promotion. The Promoter may disclose Eligible Participants' personal information to its
contractors and agents to assist in conducting this Promotion or communicating with Eligible
Participants.
General terms and conditions
20. By entering the Promotion, Eligible Participants consent to their personal information being
collected, used and disclosed by the Promoter, its agents, affiliates, related business
companies, other companies associated with this Promotion, and business partners for any
promotional activities, including the Eligible Participant's personal participation in
reasonable promotional activities as requested by the Promoter, and any marketing and
publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the
Eligible Participant.
21. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants
(including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole
discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached
any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any
unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of
the Promotion.
22. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter
to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The
Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender
are reserved. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the
right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
23. While the Promoter will use all reasonable endeavours to arrange the delivery of the Prize,
by entering this Promotion, a Winner acknowledges that circumstances beyond the control
of the Promoter may prevent the delivery of the Prize by that date, or at all (including the
failure by the Winner to notify the Promoter of any change of delivery address of the Prize).
In such circumstances where the Promoter forms a reasonable belief that any delay or loss

of the Prize has not been caused or contributed to by the Winner’s negligence, fraud or
misconduct, the Promoter may (if circumstances permit) re-deliver the Prize to the Winner.

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage, cost,
including, but not limited to, direct, consequential (including economic) or indirect loss or
any loss of profits, by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter
or their servants or agents, in connection with this Promotion or the arrangement for
supply, or the supply or failure to supply, of any goods or services by any person to a
Winner, or any loss or damage suffered by an Entrant or a Winner as a result of participating
in this Promotion or using the Prize.

The Promoter is bound by the Australian PRIVACY Principles contained in the Privacy Act
1988 (Cth). The Promoter’s Privacy Policy can be viewed at www.skyracing.tv.

The Promoter may disclose Eligible Participants' personal information to its contractors and
agents to assist in conducting this Promotion or communicating with Eligible Participants.

By entering the Promotion, Eligible Participants consent to their personal information being
collected, used and disclosed by the Promoter, its agents, affiliates, related business
companies, other companies associated with this Promotion, and business partners for any
promotional activities, including the Eligible Participant's personal participation in
reasonable promotional activities as requested by the Promoter, and any marketing and
publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the
Eligible Participant.

Eligible Participants’ consent includes authorising the Promoter, its agents, affiliates, related
business companies, other companies associated with this Promotion and business partners
to send the Participant future electronic messages including but not limited to, SMS, MMS,
and email regarding any promotional, marketing and publicity activities.

Eligible Participants' personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery
departments and Winners' names published as required under the relevant lottery
legislation. The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to provide the Eligible Participant
reasonable prior notice where their personal information is going to be disclosed to State
and Territory lottery departments or published under lottery legislation. A request to
access, update or correct any personal information should be directed to the Promoter.

All Eligible Participants consent to the publication of their name and suburb of residence
(however their full address will not be published) and agree to participate in reasonable
Promotion activities as requested by the Promoter without any further payment or
compensation.

Entrants release Twitter and its associated companies from all liability arising in respect of
the Promotion and acknowledge that any questions, comments or complaints regarding the
Promotion will be directed to the Promoter, not the Twitter.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of NSW.
