CSIR-NGRI & BRGM, France 1999 To establish scientific co-operation between CSIR-NGRI & BRGM in the field of groundwater through setting up of an “Indo-French Centre for Groundwater Research” (IFCGR) at CSIR-NGRI, Hyderabad. Present status of implementation On-going The centre shall also be organizing workshops, exchanges of doctoral and post-doctoral fellows, training for young researches as well as students of India and France, short duration visits of teaching faculty and scientists. 2. NCAOR & CSIR-NGRI 2002 i)Acquisition of deep penetration multichannel seismic reflection, refraction, gravity and magnetic data along a series of line traverses totalling an estimated 23,600 kms plus or minus 20 percent with precise positioning and echo sounding. ii)Preliminary onboard data processing & iii)Post-processing of data, for the purpose of delineation of the India’s Legal Continental Shelf in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (1982) as well as to support the Country’s research programmes in the continental margin. On-going Umbrella MoU : 3. AMD & CSIR-NGRI 2007 AMD will outsource heliborne survey to NGRI during the XI plan period (for 5 years - 2007 - 2012) approximately an estimated of 1,28,750 line kilometres provided CSIR-NGRI procures heliborne Time Domain Electromagnetic system along with Magnetometer, Gamma-ray Spectrometric system etc and covers the areas as per requirement of AMD and acquires good quality data In continuation of the Umbrella MoU : 2009 2013 AMD will outsource heliborne geophysical survey, including data acquisition, processing, interpretation, modelling and submission of report, to CSIR-NGRI during October 2009 to September 2010 for an estimated total of 25000 line kilometres. CSIR-NGRI will carryout heliborne geophysical surveys as per the requitrement of AMD and acquire good quality data. In continuation of the Umbrella MoU : AMD will outsource multi-parameter Heliborne geophysical surveys including data acquisition, processing, interpretation, modeling and submission of report and maps to CSIR-NGRI during the period of 2013-14, 2014-15 & 2015-16 for an estimated total of 75,000 line kilometres. CSIR-NGRI will be responsible for acquiring good quality Heliborne geophysical data over 75,000 line km as per requirement of AMD. Data acquisition of 75,000 line km (approximately) is to be completed by May 2016. CSIR-NGRI may outsource part of work to competent agencies acceptable to AMD and quality of work is done as per requirement and satisfaction of AMD. On-going 4. 5. 6.
