Entering Eastern Time Zone 11:00 am Arrive at the famous Castle in Versailles, KY to have a self-guided tour. Known as the Martin Castle, Castle Post and Versailles Castle it was built in 1969 by Rex and Caroline Martin after a visit they had to Europe and were inspired by the architect and structures they had seen while on their trip. Today, the Castle is a bed and breakfast, meeting and dining facility. 12:00 pm Enjoy lunch after a self-guided tour. (Dress code is church attire or business casual.) 2:00 pm This afternoon a local step on guide will join the group for a tour of some of Lexington’s most prominent and legendary Thoroughbred farms in the world that is off limits to the general public. These are the farms where Queens and billionaires have stayed and kept their most prized horses. 5:00 pm Load the coach and depart for Dinner 6:00 pm Check in to your hotel and freshen up for dinner 7:00 pm Meet your group in the Bowling Dining Room North for dinner. Boone Tavern Hotel & Restaurant Berea, KY Day 2 –Wednesday October 7, 2015 Meals: Breakfast and Lunch 7:30 am Bags out and Breakfast at your hotel 8:00 am Coach available for loading 8:30 am Depart for Berea College, where you will enjoy a Campus Tour. 9:00 am Berea College Visitor Center, managed by the Integrated Marketing & Communications department, is your starting point for a 50 minute walking tour that provides an historic overview of the College. Covering three-quarters of a mile, this studentled tour visits notable structures including the Frost Building (originally a Carnegie Library), Phelps Stokes Chapel (built by students in 1904–1906), and the Draper Classroom Building. 10:15am Depart for Keeneland in Lexington, KY. 11:30 am Arrive at Keeneland. Part thoroughbred race course, part sales company and considered one of America's most beautiful tracks, Keeneland is known for its well-designed and meticulous landscaping. The grounds consist of the paddock, a prep area where visitors can view horses up-close just before the race and a combination of dirt and turf race tracks. 12:00 pm You will enjoy a buffet lunch in the Phoenix Room.
