A $500.00 Long Beach Council PTA
Scholarship is available to one
qualified student from each of the
LBUSD high schools with an active
PTA/PTSA unit in good standing.
This scholarship is indented for
applicants who will attend Long Beach City College in the fall as a full-time student.
The student’s cumulative GPA must be a 2.0 or above.
The student applicant and/or their parent or guardian must be a current PTA / PTSA
member at any LBUSD school.
A high school may submit up to three scholarship applications to the Long Beach
Council PTA. High School PTA Officers Send applications to:

 Description of any PTA/PTSA responsibilities applicant may have
 Intended major/ course of study at Long Beach City College
 Brief statement of reason for applying for this scholarship
 Applicant’s interests, career plans, personal objectives
 Applicant’s school service activities and organizations (no abbreviations)
 Applicant’s volunteer service in the community
3. Copy of parent/guardian’s PTA membership card
4. Copy of cumulative GPA verification.
5. Written references on behalf of applicant from two adults.
