Quiet Channel Technology under the hood this season even though their preferred Poly-V belts
now carry a new brand name – ELITE by Continental. Drivers who stick to streets and highways
rather than race tracks can be just as confident. With more than a century of research and proven
best-in-class technology behind it, the ELITE series by Continental is made for exceptional
performance every time. The ContiTech Power Transmission Group will demonstrate this wideranging expertise at Automechanika Chicago.
The familiar and trusted products previously branded Goodyear Gatorback are now under the
brand name ELITE, manufactured by Continental, following completion of Continental’s acquisition
of Veyance Technologies, Inc. Veyance is a longtime preferred belt supplier to the racing industry.
Its team works closely with NASCAR engine builders and race teams throughout the year to deliver
high-performance belts. “This is an exciting milestone that will open the door to innovations that will
benefit our customers,” said Nick Gulli, Vice President & Segment Leader Aftermarket NAFTA.
“Just as importantly, the products, performance and people they have come to trust have not
changed. Customers can find the same great products, including the same Quiet Channel
Technology – with the new ELITE brand name and packaging. The same belts chosen by race

Backed by 100 years of innovation and premium technology in the automotive aftermarket industry,

ELITE Poly-V Belts with Quiet Channel Technology
The ELITE Poly-V is a serpentine belt made specifically for automotive applications. Its V-groove
design matches the V-groove pulley used by manufacturers and meets the SAE industry standard.
What makes the Poly-V different is its combination of a unique staggered “Helicog” profile with
advanced EPDM rubber compounds, which virtually eliminates the chirps, squeaks and squeals
typically associated with pulley misalignment.
ELITE Timing Belts & Kits with OE Solutions Technology
Timing belts are used to time the camshaft to the crankshaft, a job that requires precision. ELITE
timing belts with OE solutions provide perfect OE form, fit and function for best-in-class
performance. Every belt and custom-assembled, all-inclusive kit meets or exceeds manufacturer
recommendations and is designed for optimum durability.
ELITE Belt Tensioners with Accu-Drive Technology
Designed for the unique operating conditions of engine and accessory belt layout configurations,
ELITE belt tensioners ensure belts remain at nearly constant tension. The result is maximum
accessory drive component life while still preventing belt slip. When properly applied, ELITE belt
tensioners provide a predetermined, constant tension and help dampen belt system vibrations.
Automatic tensioners will self-adjust for normal belt elongation caused by wear.
ELITE Automotive Heater and Radiator Hose
The ELITE brand also offers a full selection of molded heater and radiator hose for automotive,
heavy-duty, industrial and agricultural replacement applications. Designed to transfer coolants
through engine components, ELITE aftermarket hose products are heat resistant, combat high
underhood temperatures and meet or exceed OEM and SAE specifications where required.
