as Sparky Lyle took on the role as manager emeritus. Lyle’s new role will involve

for the ball club. Shane Spencer is the new hitting coach. Spencer will also coach
3rd base. He won three World Series rings with the Yankees from 1998-2000. Cory
Domel takes over as pitching coach.

On November 27 , 2012 Brett Jodie was named the 2nd manager ever in
Patriots franchise history replacing Sparky Lyle who spent the first 15
years filling out the lineup card for the red, white and blue. Jodie, 36
years old, attended the University of South Carolina where he was a
psychology major and eventually made it to the big leagues playing for
the Padres and Yankees in 2001. Jodie was a pitcher for the Patriots in
2003 and 2005. In 2006 he became the team’s pitching coach and in 2007
he added Director of Player Personnel to his responsibilities. Jodie has
won one AL title as a player (2003) and two as a coach (2008 & 2009).
