Breeder/Seller Warrants & Agrees:
1. The Puppy is being sold only as a companion pet and is not guaranteed to be fit for breeding or any
other purpose. Nor is the puppy guaranteed to grow to a particular size or weight.
2. The Buyer is made aware that the breeder cannot 100% predict the adult coat or eye color of the
puppy. We can only give you our best prediction.
3. The Breeder (CR) attempts to breed for only even temperaments and healthy puppies. However,
we feel the puppy is not an object and no breeder can predict if the puppy’s bite will go off and if
the will have the expected temperament or what environmental factors will influence the puppy
once the pup is off the breeders property.
4. Health: The puppy is in sound body & good health at the time of the sale. The puppy has had its
first inoculation for Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza. For maximum protection we
recommend that this puppy receive another inoculation at 9wks & 12wks of age.
o The puppy has been seen by a licensed veterinarian at 6weeks of age on _______________
o The breeder will provide the buyer with all current health records for the puppy.
o Breeder will provide the buyer with any health clearances on the parents of the puppy.
Such as CERF (Eyes) Test results and OFA (Hips) Test Results.
o The Breeder refers all questions regarding inoculations, worming to qualified veterinarian
our recommendations are merely suggestions which should be discussed with your
veterinarian.
The breeder has informed the buyer of the following:
o
Buyer has been informed that young bones on a puppy do not calcify until 12 months of
age.
o Buyer has been informed that a few studies show early spay or neutering can cause joint
problems- we recommend waiting until at least 6 months of age to alter a pup.
o Proper Nutrition is important to growth and development of the puppy’s structure. We
recommend feeding food that will not promote excessive growth or obesity. This can
bring on joint problems or arthritis in the future.
o Your puppy is currently being fed:_____________________. Other recommended
brands are: Taste of the Wild, Royal Canin, Blue Buffalo.
o The buyer was made aware that if he or she allows the puppy to engage in actives that
over stress the joints before 12 months of age the chances of Hip Dysplasia (HD) or joint
problems may be increased. Such actives include but, are not limited to hard surfaces,
continuous running and jumping, intense training in competitive dog events.
o The Breeder recommends the puppy should be walked for 5 mins per month of its age.
IE. at 7 month you should be walking the puppy for 35 mins only twice per day. Because
puppies joint can be damaged by too much walking/exercise. This can bring on HD and
arthritis in adulthood. We also recommend only go at the puppies pace and do not rush
it along. Some puppies may want to walk less and should not be forced to walk more
then they seem able to do.
o Buyer is made aware any health testing done on the parents does not mean the puppy
is 100% free and clear of ever having any Hip or Eye issues. Again because of
uncontrollable genetic makeup of the puppy and because of environmental factors that
are out of our control once the puppy leaves our property.
o Buyer is made aware that as compared to other breeds HD is relatively low, especially in
those dogs descending from health tested parents /and grandparents etc.
a. The breeder recommends OFA testing (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, University
of Missouri, Columbia, MO 65210) for any issues regarding hip dysplasia. Your local vet
o
o
o
o
should be able to send x- ray’s to OFA to have the hip’s evaluated. Dog s are not OFA
certifiable until two years of age NOT before 2 years of age. However preliminary’s can
be done is serve cases.
The breeder recommends that all Eye disease related issues be diagnosed by a Canine
Ophthalmologist. Not all Eye Disease’s cause complete blindness. Some may display
little or no symptoms. Cataracts- do not affect the dog’s quality of life. It is a fact that
dogs with eye disease related issues can live wonderful lives. They can run, catch balls,
and relax. A dog really see’s with his nose. There are many treatments, drugs, reading
material available to help deal with eye related health issues.
Buyer was made aware that malnourishment, high fat content foods, supplements, or
diabetes can bring on cataracts/eye issues in dogs. This can be prevented by the
vigilance of the owner.
The buyer is made aware that the breeder can only control small percentage of breed
related health issues Such as HD and Cataracts with the health testing that is available
for the Siberian Husky breed.
The buyer is made aware the breeder cannot 100% guarantee the health of the Hips or
Eyes on any puppy once they leave the breeders property for the following reasons:
o The breeder has no control over how the puppy is raised, feed and exercised
after leaving the breeders premises.
o The breeder is doing her part by completing the necessary health tests for the
breed. However the end result and responsibility of the health of the puppy
does not end there. The end result also rests in the hands of the buyer once the
puppy leaves the breeders premises.
o Only in severe cases regarding HD or eye issues will we offer a replacement
puppy of equal value. No money will be refunded. This offer is good for only the
1st year of the puppy’s life. A current report from a Canine Ophthalmologist
(regarding eye issues) or a OFA report (regarding hips) must be giving to (CR)
along with a written statement from the buyers certified veterinarian Stating
the pup’s quality of life is severely affected by any hip or eye issues if left
untreated.
