Box 107 Serena, IL 60549 p: (815) 496-2361 p: (815) 792-8441 f: (815) 496-9234 Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s), We are excited to announce that this year, we will be providing an alternative lunch option for students in place of the regular scheduled school lunch choice. This lunch option is also available to students when they will be gone on a field trip on that particular day. The cold lunch will include a cold sandwich (strawberry jelly & peanut butter, grape jelly & peanut butter, or ham), fruit, and drink (milk, water, or juice). If the students are going on a field trip, they will receive their lunch in a paper sack the morning of the trip. Otherwise, they will receive their cold lunch when they go through the lunch line in the cafeteria on that particular day. If you would like to purchase a cold lunch for a field trip or to replace a hot lunch, then you will need to fill out one of the attached Cold Lunch Order Forms and return it to the school office at least 2 days in advance. Additional forms will be available in the school office, or your child can get them from their classroom teacher. If you order a cold lunch, student lunch accounts will be charged the same amount as a regular lunch ($2.65). *Free and reduced prices shall apply. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at rgoodbred@unit2.net or (815) 496-2002. Sincerely, Mr. Randy Goodbred, Principal Sheridan Grade School * Attached: Cold Lunch Order Form …a great place to learn.
