Entry Fees: Classes 1-25 & 33-41 £6.50. Late Entries accepted on the day, at £2 extra per class.
Classes 26-32 are £3 to enter on the day.
Entries close May 22rd
In classes 26 – 32 all competitors will receive a carrot and all unplaced competitors will receive a
special rosette.

Tarra Qualifiers - Classes 15 & 25 are qualifiers for the TARRA Championships at Equifest August
2014
Equifest Qualifiers - This show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England
Showground on the 13th – 17th August 2014. The 2 highest exhibits not already qualified in each
affiliated class will qualify. Competitors in Equifest qualifiers must obtain a qualification card
before competing in qualifying classes. There will be a very limited supply available from the
secretary.
15+ Horse & Pony Qualifiers - To qualify for the 2014 National Supreme Showing Championship
Show on Sunday August 17th at Equifest, Peterborough the first, second and third place horse/pony
in the following classes 10 & 21 will each qualify. To enter the National Supreme Showing
Championship Show the rider/handler and horse/pony must register with 15+ Horse & Pony Events
within 14 days of the qualifying show date. Further information concerning this exciting

Think Pink qualifiers - The finals are to take place on the 6th September 2014 at Houghton Hall,
PE28 2DY. The final classes will be split. Should there be more than 5 yearlings entered in the
youngstock class, they will be split. The top ten from each final will go through to the evening
performance for placing, Evening turnout encouraged. All finalists to receive a rosette. Think Pink

2. Show Pony - Lead Rein. Davey’s Livestock Transport Ltd/EQUIFEST QUALIFIER. Leading Rein Pony, mare or
gelding, 4 years old & over not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before 1st
January in the current year. To be led by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle. Lead rein to be
attached to the noseband only.
3. Show Pony - First Ridden. Horse & Hound/EQUIFEST QUALIFIER. First Ridden Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years
old and over, not exceeding 128cm. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in
the current year. To be shown in any suitable bridle.
4. Ridden Show Pony. Signature Communications/EQUIFEST QUALIFIER. Open Show Pony, mare or gelding, 4
years old and over, not exceeding 148cms. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before the 1st
January in the current year.
Classes may be divided as follows:
 Show Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained
their 13th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
 Show Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 128cms but not exceeding 138cms. Riders

4yrs and over, Ideally racing name of horse
Class will be judged as a riding horse without “type”, Injuries caused through racing will be overlooked. The
first two will qualify and will pass down the line to 4th place only. The judge may ride. This is a qualifier for
the TARRA Ridden Championship at Equifest August 2013. To be judged by Mr L Clarke.
10. Ridden Veteran. 15 Plus Qualifier. Open Mixed age - Horse or Pony aged 15yrs & over. The winner will
receive The Underestimated Spirit Perpetual Trophy kindly donated by Sam Kemp.
11. Riding Horses. Nupafeed/EQUIFEST QUALIFIER. Open Riding Horse, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over,
any height. Riders any age. Classes may be divided as follows:
 Small Riding Horses - mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 158cms.
Riders any age.
 Large Riding Horses - mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 158cms. Riders any age.
12. Ridden Hunter. Mr E & Mrs SA Kydd/EQUIFEST QUALIFIER. Open Ridden Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years
old & over, exceeding 153cms. Riders any age. Classes may be divided as follows:
 Lightweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, capable of carrying up to 12.7 stone.
 Middleweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, capable of carrying 12.7 stone but not 14
stone.
 Heavyweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over capable of carrying over 14 stone.
13. Ridden Piebald/Skewbald BSPA/EQUIFEST QUALIFIER. Open ridden Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare or
gelding, 4 years old & over. Riders any age. The first three places will also qualify for the BSPA
Championship. Subject to their show rules & conditions. Classes may be divided according to entries.
14. Ridden Cobs. Nupafeed/EQUIFEST QUALIFIER. Open Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over,
exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms. Riders any age. Classes may be divided as follows:
 Open Lightweight Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms.
 Open Heavyweight Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms.

entries. Qualifications are given to the highest placed two, not to have already qualified in the top six

within each age group will qualify.
22. BSPA/EQUIFEST QUALIFIER Piebald/Skewbald In hand Open in Hand Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare,
colt, filly or gelding, any age. The first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championships. Subject to
their show rules & conditions Classes may be divided according to entries.
23. Cob in hand. Any height.
24. Foreign Breed in hand. Any height.

37. Horse and Hound Jumping Round. Come and have a bit of fun and a run! Fences 18” Competitors will
jump a round on horseback then a round on foot with dog. Rounds will be timed.

Utility- To complete a fun obstacle course designed to reflect qualities of a utility pony. Competitors will be
required to jump some small fences. A short individual show required. Snaffle bridle only permitted.

RULES
1. Mr. and Mrs. K Bertram & the organisers of the show accept no liability in the respect of any accidents,
loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other persons or personal
property whatsoever.
2. Dogs must be kept on leads.
3. Judges decisions are final.
4. Hard hats must be worn and fastened at all times when mounted to current standards (PAS 015 or the EN
equivalent).
5. No horse or pony to compete in any ridden class under the age of 4 years old.
6. The organisers reserve the right to split or amalgamate any class.
7. Entry fees are non-returnable.
8. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entries for whatever reason.
9. All competitors must have their own third party public liability insurance.
10. Riders & Horses ages are taken from the 1st Jan 2012.
11. Stallion, mare or geldings to compete in any class, unless stated.
12. In hand classes open to all ages.
13. Under 16’s must be supervised by a responsible adult.
14. It is the owners/riders responsibility to ensure no horse is over competed and welfare compromised.
15. No judge will be riding horses in classes.
16. Lorries and trailers must not be mucked out onto the showground.
17. Interference from outside the ring will result in elimination.
18. In the interest of safety it is only permissible to walk your ponies in the trailer lines, trotting or cantering
among them is not allowed.
19. No horse or pony to be left unattended in lorry park.
All shields won by champions must be returned by 31st March the following year.
