Dear colleagues and friends,
We would like to extend to you our warmest invitation to the International Conference on
Epistemology and Cognitive Science and the Establishment Ceremony of the Chinese Society of
Epistemology.
Xiamen University Center for Epistemology and Cognitive Science and Department of
Philosophy will jointly host the International Conference on Epistemology and Cognitive
Science from June 28 to June 30, 2014. We intend to bring together philosophers around the
world to share their research work in epistemology and cognitive science. The Establishment
Ceremony of the Chinese Society of Epistemology will be held during the conference. The
Chinese Society of Epistemology serves as a platform for dialogue and collaboration for Chinese
epistemologists and a bridge for epistemologists in China and worldwide.
Xiamen University (http://www2012.xmu.edu.cn/english/index.asp) is located in a beautiful
coastal city in southeast China, Xiamen, a city with a rich history and a unique mixture of
Buddhist and Christian heritage. Xiamen is one of the most popular tourist destinations in China,
and only a one-hour flight away from major cities like Shanghai and Hong Kong. Xiamen
University is one of the top universities in China and has constantly been ranked the most
beautiful university in China. It attracts over 3,000 international students and scholars to study
and work here each year.
