Course Objectives: The course objectives are aligned with the Olivet Nazarene University
Conceptual Framework and the Illinois Professional Teaching Standards (2010).
1. Each learner will be able to understand the diverse characteristics and abilities of
students and how they develop and learn within the context of their social, economic,
cultural, linguistic, and academic experiences. The learner creates instructional
opportunities that enhance student achievement and learning for all students, including
students with exceptionalities.
